What an amazing stay we had for my Wife’s 40th birthday. Lorena was very helpful with clear and timely communication throughout the planning process. We opted to go big and take advantage of many of the service options and activities during our 4 nigh stay to celebrate such an important birthday milestone. We booked a chef to prepare our meals, bartender service a couple nights during the stay, and party decorations, cake, mariachi band and the 3-hour private yacht cruise with lunch provided.

Upon arrival Raffi (on-site house manager) and the team welcomed us with a bouquet of flowers and a welcome sign (paid service) and the spectacular view! Decor, furniture, finishes were nice comfortable and functional. In fact we left Villa Toro Rojo and went to the JW Marriott and the mattress in the master bedroom was better than the mattress at the hotel!! 🙂

We had a great time and really appreciated the staff.. that definitely contributed to our amazing experience. Our biggest tip: Staff matters! If you are getting a chef, request Marilu. If you are getting a bartender, request Jesus! If you have choice of cleaners request Anabel and Diana. (Learn more about our experience with each staff member below.)

MARILU (Chef): Marilu’s cooking was delicious, great flavor, such attention to detail, she really aimed to understand my vision and executed it beautifully. She even went out of her way to locate corn on the cob (elote) for the menu as well. Her churros were SO GOOD! Even after we left my friends and family were talking about her churros and dipping sauces! YUM! She was very kind, friendly, personable!

JESUS (Bartender): Hire this man whenever the quality matters! Jesus was the most attentive bartender. He keeps a very clean and organized bar-back and knows how to contribute to a vibe. He had all the margarita glasses lined up garnished with sparkling strawbarries, and filled shot glasses to accompany. He was also very kind and helped us out BIG time with other members of the team who’s english language skills weren’t as developed. I truly appreciated his help and his hardwork!

ANABEL (Clearner): Anabel was so kind and super thoughtful. The day of my wife’s party we returned back from the yacht to find our bathroom towels styled into birds or something beautiful looking and a small jar of fresh flowers on the bathroom counter (which Im sure she cut from the bouquet of flowers we had on arrival… and I loved the above and beyond effort to surprise and delight!!) Diana the other cleaner was also pleasant, kind and thorough.
