Land's End

Discover Cabo San Lucas

Sun, sea, and everything in between — here's your guide to the beaches, weather and adventures that make Cabo unforgettable.

Cabo San Lucas is located on the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. Also known as Land's End, Cabo is home to the famous Arch and the private gated community of Pedregal. Nestled in the hills above the center of town, Pedregal is Baja's version of Hollywood and the playground of the rich and famous.

Once a sleepy fishing village, Cabo San Lucas has grown to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world — now the number-one tourist destination in all of Mexico. From weddings to bachelor parties, family vacations, and relaxing weekend getaways, Cabo has something for everyone.

The Beaches

Three Beaches Worth the Trip

Hidden Gem

Playa Pedregal

Located within the private gated community of Pedregal, this is one of Cabo's hidden gems. On the Pacific side of Land's End and not accessible to the public, it's a wonderful place to get away. The strong current makes it unsafe for swimming, but it's a perfect setting for picnics, walks on the beach, and terrific surf fishing.

The Main Beach

Playa El Médano

The closest swimming beach extends through the main beachfront hotel zone and abounds with activity. On El Médano you'll easily rent the water toy of your choice — from high-powered wave runners to quiet sea kayaks. Stretching for two miles from town, the soft sloped sand also provides a great run. Just two miles from the villas.

By Water Taxi

Lover's Beach

A must-see hidden cove reached by boat — we recommend hiring a water taxi at the marina. The captain will tour the diving areas around the Arch (El Arco), point out Lover's Beach, then round the point for a wonderful view of the dramatic spot where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

The Weather

Some of the Best in the World

Cabo San Lucas lies within the tropics, where temperatures vary only about 20°F between the hottest and coldest months. The best weather is November through January, when temperatures average in the 80s and the ocean is still warm. August and September are the hottest and most humid due to Pacific hurricane activity; the rest of the year is warm with very low humidity.

The sun is intense, so bring sunglasses and sunscreen. Evenings cool down — a light sweater is handy. On the Pacific side, expect temperatures about 10°F cooler than the Sea of Cortez side, so pack accordingly. Rain is rare, and when it comes, it's usually in the middle of the night.
